Raghubar Das the newly appointed governor of Odisha.

Senior BJP leader and Former CM of Jharkhand is appointed as the Governor of Odisha. Yesterday the letter was issued by the Rastrapati Bhawan. Raghubar Das will replace the incumbent Ganeshi Lal. The appointment will be effective when they will take charge.

68 Years Raghubar Das was the first Non-Tribal CM of Jharkhand from 2014 – 2019. He is also a senior RSS leader and currently working as the Vice-President of the BJP. Earlier Raghubar Das was a member of the Janta Party in 1977 and then he joined BJP as a founding member in 1980. Then in 2004, he was appointed as the Jharkhand State BJP president. He is the core leader of the BJP and a former employee of Tata Steel.

As an OBC leader, he was elected to the Bihar and Jharkhand assemblies five times and he represented Jamsedhpur East from 1995 to 2019. Ganeshi Lal is also the BJP EX state president of Haryana. Also worked as a minister in the state. He was appointed as the Governor of Odisha in May 2018 and Completed his 5Years term.
