Uttarakhand records the all time high dengue cases- 16 dead, 3000 positive.

The Dengue cases in Uttarakhand have crossed 3000 and the death toll has reached 16. From Dehradun alone has crossed 1000 and 750 in the Pauri districts. Along with Haridwar and Nainital reported 500 and 489 active cases in these areas. Among the 16 death reports, 13 are from the capital of Uttarakhand.

The Nodal Medical Officer said the incubation period of the Malaria virus is 4 to 14 days. Currently, the positive cases detected are from a few days back. After October 15 the number will decline as expected by the medical officer. Additionally, the officer stated the severity of the virus and urged the public to be more cautious and take all the precautionary measures to prevent Dengue.

Per the state data, the Dengue cases reported this year is more than in 2019 when over 10,000 cases were reported. Officials made strategies to manage the problems in upcoming years.
